My fiance wanted tungsten because it is damn near scratch proof and so far it has lived up to that description. This ring looks VERY nice and is a good width for a man. My fiance is a big guy with big hands, and I was worried that 6mm would look too feminine but it doesnt. The black is more like a real dark gray/charcoal, which looks very elegant (for a guy) and not so much gothic. I am very happy with this ring and so is my fiance (he liked it so much he couldnt wait to wear it lol). I was pleasantly surprised to find this ring on Amazon. When I received it, I was again pleasantly surprised. What the photo doesn't convey is that this ring is very substantial. It is heavy and very solidly constructed, yet the design is very intricate and delicate looking. I believe this ring will hold up to many years (and hopefully decades) of daily wear. We are both very pleased with the ring, and my husband finds it very comfortable to wear since the edges are smooth and rounded.
